HoN at NASL

Heroes of Newerth (HoN), a popular game in the Dota genre created by independent game developer S2 Games, will be added to the professional eSports League North American Star League (NASL) starting October 5, 2011 for NASL Season 2.

American based Starcraft 2 league adds HoN

North American Star League is a small American league that mainly caters to the Starcraft 2 crowd.

The selected teams are compiled of some of the top players in the world and we can't wait to see what they do when pitted against each other."

Eight random Heroes of Newerth teams have been invited to compete for the 1st HoN NASL season. HoN teams will face off in 5 v 5 matches for 1,000 US Dollars per match.

* Game Mode: Banning Pick
* Team Captain rolls for the side or pick order, the higher roll chooses first
* Players may not look at an opposing Player’s Monitor or projected screen
* Players must set their status to DND
* Only DEVASTATION Staff members may connect to the server as an observer, any player that invites someone to observe a Match will be disqualified

Players must win one out of one Games to win the match (1/1)

HoN Finals Match Settings (Winners Finals, Losers Finals, Finals/Grand Finals)
Players must win two out of three Games to win the match (2/3)

Heroes of Newerth Cyber Athlete Amateur League

Heroes of Newerth (HoN) at CAL 2010

The CAL (Cyberathlete Amateur League) has been relaunched and Heroes of Newerth is the name of the game.

This will be a North American online tournament for Heroes of Newerth (HoN) in conjunction with the launch of the new Caleague.com (CAL).

According to Marc DeForest (CEO and Founder of S2 Games):

"I was very pleased when the CPL approached us about the launch of the new CAL. The Heroes of Newerth competitive scene has grown significantly since release and competition is getting fierce. That makes HoN the perfect title for the re-launch and we are very happy that they chose HoN to be the first league showcased."

Number of HoN teams allowed: 128 Heroes of Newerth teams
Event: 5v5 (Forests of Calvadar - DotA standard map)
Prize:
*Hotel and Airfare to the DreamHack 2010 winter event.
*Play against seven other international teams for $15,000 in cash and prizes!
DreamHack Winter 2010 takes place November 25-28 in Sweden.

*2nd round will take place on Sunday, 31st January 2010 at 19:00 GMT in which the semis and the finals are going to be fought out.
*All games will be best-of-three.
