1st HoN Community Designed Alt Avatar Contest
Over the past few weeks, we've seen an excellent response to the new HoN Alt Avatars. We've also seen a number of amazing ideas for them. That's why we are hosting the first Community Designed Alt Avatar Contest!

Rules:
Give us your best idea for a new Alt Avatar for the hero of your choosing, we'll lower it down to the top 5, and the community will vote for which one they would like to have added to the game.

Prizes:
The winner will have his/her Alt Avatar added to the game, will be given their Alt Avatar for free, and will be rewarded with 1,000 Goblin Coins to spend in the Store!

We ask that you do not submit any copyrighted material and that you only submit one idea. If you submit more than one, you will be disqualified.

Submission judging will begin as soon as we feel there are enough entries to judge- in other words, don't wait too long to submit your idea!

Heroes of Newerth Halloween 2010 Event

As a way of treating the little children who play HoN, S2 Games is giving away treats.
Here are 2 ways to get them:

Treat # 1: HoN Pumpkin Carving Contest

The Maliken pumpkin carving inspired S2 so much that a pumpkin carving contest has been announced.

How to Join:
Post two pictures on the HoN forum of a carved pumpkin - one with current day's newspaper, second with your username written on paper in front of the pumpkin.

Treat # 2: HoN Costume Contest

Dress as your own favorite HoN Character to win some dough.
Got that little cosplayer in you? Then bring it on and scare both Toolz and Maliken .

How to Join the HoN Costume Contest:
Post pictures in the HoN forum of yourself in costume and hold a piece of paper with your username written on it.

Rules for both Halloween Events:
1 entry per person but you can join both events at the same time.
Submissions should be HoN-related.

Prizes for both Halloween events:
1st: 100 USD
2nd: 50 USD
3rd: 25 USD
*Winners will receive it directly via PayPal.

What is HoN?
HoN (Halloween on Newerth) is a horror-themed game created by S2 (Scary 2) Games.

Heroes of Newerth Trailer Video Contest

HoN Community Contest - Make a Trailer Video (300 USD prize money)


To: All Videographers!

Show us why you love HoN in your own custom Heroes of Newerth trailer. Videos must include gameplay footage, showcase both the Hellbourne and Legion sides, have some music as well as sound effects and include both the S2 Games and HoN logos at least once. There is no limit on the length of the video. You can host the video yourself or host the video on YouTube.

HoN Shirt Design Contest

Laura of S2 Games has announced a HoN T-Shirt Design Contest.

Prize: 100 USD + shirt designed


This is your chance to design what you would like to see available in the SplitReason HoN "Secret Shop". You can send your submissions to community@s2games.com. The winner will get the first shirt with his or her design and $100.

GRAPHIC FORMAT SPECIFICATIONS

Rasterized pixel artwork:

* 300DPI high-resolution
* Supported file formats: JPG, GIF, TIFF, PSD, PNG
* All image files must be created at the actual size of the intended print (use real dimensions and measurements in inches or cm)
* Designs that use solid colors must be limited to 6 colors or less, pantone color codes must be specified for each color
* Designs with lots of fine detail/gradients or full color (photorealism) do not have color limitations and can be submitted as a flattened image. (e.g. hon concept art)
* Halftones, gradients, and areas of high detail are supported but should be provided in a separate image or photoshop layer for easy separation/manipulation
* Type must be embedded/rasterized
* Max dimensions 13? x 17? ? portrait or landscape
* Each t-shirt can include up to 2 prints (front, back, nape, left sleeve, right sleeve, or off-center with custom placement.)


Vector formats:

* Supported file formats: AI, EPS
* All image files must be created at the actual size of the intended print (use real dimensions and measurements in inches or cm)
* Designs that use solid color must be limited to 6 colors or less, pantone spot colors must be used to compose the artwork
* Halftones are supported
* Strokes must be outlined
* Type must be converted to outlines

* Each t-shirt can include up to 2 prints (front, back, nape, left sleeve, right sleeve, or off-center with custom placement.)
